TERMS & CONDITIONS VIDEO WALK AROUND THE WORLD AND PHOTO CONTEST
1. PHOTO CONTEST
GENERAL RULES FOR THE PHOTO CONTEST:
1. Eligibility:
- There is no age limit for participants. Anyone can enter the Contest (Two categories: under 18, over 18).
- All entries must be submitted by midnight June 14th, 2010 (GMT).
- Camera's need to be set in high resolution and JPG format (max file size 5MB).
- Each participant is allowed to submit only one photograph. Additional submissions will not be considered by the Judges.
2. How to Enter:
- Entrants of majority age with legal capacity according to the applicable laws of the Entrants jurisdiction should: (1) upload their photograph to flickr (www.flickr.com ) tagged with “wtwphoto”; and (2) Email a high resolution copy of the photograph to wfp.walk_the_world@wfp.org and include their name , location, age, date and a caption for the photograph.
- Entrants of minor age or lacking legal capacity according to the applicable laws of Entrants jurisdiction must have their parent/legal guardian submit the photograph and agree to the terms of the Contest on the minors behalf. The minor’s legal guardian should: (1) upload the photograph to flickr (www.flickr.com ) tagged with “wtwphoto”; and (2) Email a high resolution copy of the photograph to wfp.walk_the_world@wfp.org and include the name of the photographer, their location, age, date and a caption for the photograph.

TERMS & CONDITIONS PHOTO CONTEST
Over 18s: By submitting your photograph to WFP to compete in the “Over 18s” category, you represent and warrant that you are over 18 years of age at the date that you submit your photograph and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions and warranties set forth in these rules, have all of the rights and authority necessary to submit the photograph for entry in the Contest in compliance with these official rules and terms, and that the publication of the photograph will not infringe on the rights of any third party,
Under 18s: Legal guardians submitting a photograph to WFP on the behalf of a minor, or legally incapacitated person, represent and warrant that they are the parent/legal guardian of the child or legally incapacitated person according to the laws applicable in their jurisdiction, are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions and warranties set forth in these rules, have all of the rights and authority necessary to submit the photograph for entry in the Contest in compliance with these official rules and terms, and that the publication of the photograph will not infringe on the rights of any third party.
In the event of a dispute about the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the email account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed as such. You may be required to show proof of identification and age and/or proof that you are the authorized account holder of the email account associated with the winning entry.
License: By submitting your photograph to WFP, you grant WFP a worldwide, non-exclusive, sub-licensable, royalty-free, transferable, unrestricted and unconditional license to use, reproduce, distribute, modify, alter, prepare derivative works of, and display the photograph for the purposes of the Contest and any related public service activities whatsoever. You waive any and all rights arising from WFP’s publication, use and/or alteration of the photograph including without limitation any right of approval or claim to compensation.
Disqualification: WFP is entitled to disqualify any submission at its discretion including without limitation submissions of indecent or inappropriate material, and WFP reserves the right to take appropriate action if illegal material is captured in the submission or illegal conduct on behalf of the entrant is suspected.
Publication of Winners Information: Your personal information shall not be shared with third parties by WFP except to the extent necessary for the purposes of the Contest and any related public service activities including posting the identifying details of the winners on the WFP website.
Propriety Rights: Your photograph should be your own original work. WFP reserves the right to disqualify from the Contest any photograph which infringes the copyright or other intellectual property rights of third parties. You shall be solely responsible for your own photograph and the consequences of posting or publishing it. In connection with the Contest, you hereby warrant that: i) you own or have all the necessary licenses, rights, consents and permissions to submit your photograph to WFP; ii) you waive any moral or proprietary rights in and to your photograph; and iii) your photograph does not and shall not infringe any right of any third party. WFP reserves the right to require, at it’s discretion, an affidavit of release verifying the entrant’s sole ownership and rights to the photograph.
Release of Liability: You expressly understand and agree that WFP shall not be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential and/or exemplary damages related or derived from your participation in a Walk the World event or this photograph Contest.
Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WFP from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from: i) your participation in the Contest; ii) your violation of any of these Contest rules; or iii) your violation of any third party right including without limitation any copyright or privacy right. This indemnity will survive these Contest rules.
Dispute Resolution:
Amicable Settlement: The parties to any dispute, controversy or claim involving WFP and arising from their involvement with the Walk the World event or photograph Contest agree to use their best efforts to amicably settle the dispute, controversy, or claim. Where the parties or WFP wish to seek such an amicable settlement through conciliation, the conciliation shall take place in accordance with the Conciliation Rules then obtaining of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (“UNCITRAL”), or according to such other procedure as may be agreed between the Parties in writing.
Arbitration: Any dispute, controversy, or claim between a Contest entrant and WFP (seperatly a party, and jointly the Parties), unless settled amicably under Article i above, within sixty (60) days after receipt by one Party of the other Party’s written request for such amicable settlement, shall be referred by either Party to arbitration in accordance with the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules then obtaining. The decisions of the arbitral tribunal shall be based on general principles of international commercial law. The arbitral tribunal shall have no authority to award punitive damages. The Parties shall be bound by any arbitration award rendered as a result of such arbitration as the final adjudication of any such dispute, controversy, or claim.
Privileges and Immunities: Nothing in this Agreement or any document entered into in connection with this Agreement shall imply a waiver, express or implied, by WFP, the United Nations, and the Food and Agricultural Organization of any privileges and immunities enjoyed by them pursuant to the 1946 Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations, the 1947 Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of Specialized Agencies, customary international law, other relevant international or national agreements, and under domestic law.
2. VIDEO WALK AROUND THE WORLD
GENERAL RULES FOR THE VIDEO WALK AROUND THE WORLD
- There is no age limit for participants. Anyone can submit a video.
- All entries must be submitted by midnight June 10th, 2010 (GMT-11).
- Video(s) should be no longer than 15 seconds long.
- You can submit more than one video.
- You can submit your video by uploading it to www.wetransfer.com and forwarding the link to wfp.walk_the_world@wfp.org
- WFP gets full rights to the video(s) you submit: we can do whatever we want to with the videos you send us.
- A chosen number of videos will be compiled into a music video, which will be published and broadcast via YouTube.com and http://www.facebook.com/WalkTheWorld
