Walk

This year's event was held under the patronage of Princess Haya, UN Ambassador of Peace, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian City. And for the first time, WtW was under the sponsorship of Dubai Municipality. Despite the late afternoon 40 degree weather and 90% humidity, 700 participants, braved the elements and walked the 2.5 kilometer track of the beautiful Zaabeel park in Dubai.TNT was the main supporter, however, special thanks goes to Sadia Foods for covering the cost of the event. We were shooting for 5000 participants, as Media coverage was very strong prior, during and after the event. Seven newspapers and three TV stations covered the highlights. So despite the low turnout, WFP was intensively visible.
